Becca- Great article. We at Century Glass are always reminding customers to be aware of the chemicals they use in their showers, not only to protect their tile, but to prevent the silicone that was applied around their shower door. Harsh chemicals can break down and pit the silicone over time, leaving room for mildew to grow. If the silicone breakdown enough, your shower door could begin to leak.
